In June 2023, faculty and students of Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College (HFPJC) at the University of Macau went to Shanghai for an exchange programme with Fudan University (FDU). During their stay in Shanghai, HFPJC members visited the undergraduate teaching laboratory at FDU’s Hang Lung Physics Building, and observed FDU’s science and engineering students conducting experiments and engaging in research activities.  The team also visited Choi Koon-shum Humanity Center at FDU and attended the ‘Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street’ Exhibition organised by FDU’s Department of Cultural Heritage and Museology, Fudan University Museum, and the Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology of Hangzhou. In addition, the team visited Ren Zhong College at FDU to learn about the college’s communal spaces and engage in activities and discussions with its members. Representatives of HFPJC and Ren Zhong College also had in-depth exchanges on future collaboration. This exchange programme provided HFPJC students with a comprehensive understanding of FDU students’ academic achievements and their learning experiences, while also providing them with an immersive encounter with traditional culture.
