In a first, the residential colleges arranged for students to participate in the 9th Macao International Parade. In line with the event’s theme ‘the Belt and Road’, they presented a distinctive rendition of the Ramakien, the national epic of Thailand, alongside 1,800 performers of 80 art groups from countries and regions along the Belt and Road. In addition to enjoying the festive atmosphere of the parade, students could also appreciate the colourful cultures of different places. The teachers and students had specially chosen to present Thai culture and customs, specifically the literary charm of the Ramakien. With this they hoped to raise public awareness of Thai culture and minority groups in Macao and contribute to shaping a harmonious society where different cultures coexist.
