From 19 to 24 December 2018, the CKPC organised a team of volunteers to teach at Gantuan Elementary School, Guandong town, Congjiang county, Guizhou province. The volunteers engaged themselves in running interactive lessons in music, sport, fine arts and English; they also handled unexpected incidences in class. The governments of Congjiang county and Guandong town attached great importance to this activity. County officials participated in the discussion on the first day, and school inspectors also attended the event where local students presented what they had learned from the volunteer teachers. The CKPC students formed a strong friendship with the headmaster, teachers, and students of Gantuan Elementary School. They plan to return to the school in June this year, and will focus on strengthening English teaching activities and moral education. The CKPC is also planning photo exhibitions and sharing sessions with students in Macao, so that the college can share its volunteering experience with members of the local community and spread the message of love to them.
