HFPJC organized a service learning program in Guangxi Rongshui from 21 to 28 May 2018. The program included a wide range of activities, such as the little programmer workshop, the little inventor workshop, English speaking course, Macao culture course and English interest course. These tailor-made courses and workshops aimed to enhance local students’ knowledge in various areas (most of them were impoverished left-behind children of ethnic minority), stimulate their English learning interest and motive and help them develop logical thinking and public speaking skills. The participants also visited the local students’ families and an ethnic minority museum to learn more about the living and learning environment of the local students and the socio-cultural traditions and economic development of the ethnic minority community.
