On 30 November 2024, Chao Kuang Piu College (CKPC) of the University of Macau (UM) held its Alumni Day and 10th Anniversary Celebration. Over the past decade, CKPC has navigated various challenges, including the construction project of additional floors of the college and the establishment of student teams with other colleges. Throughout these years, CKPC has adhered to its motto of ‘Integrity & Truth’ and has cultivated many students to become good citizens with a spirit of service and responsibility.

About 80 alumni and over 100 current students of CKPC attended the celebration. Returning to their second home for university life, the alumni were excited to reunite with their peers, resident fellows, administrative staff, and college security guards. Before the dinner, alumni from South Korea and Malaysia participated in a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate CKPC’s 10th anniversary.

The gala event also featured the presentation ceremony of the UM Residential College Foundation Scholarships. The scholarships were awarded to outstanding second-year students in recognition of their active participation in and contributions to college activities. To make the event more meaningful, alumni who received scholarships from 2015 to 2020 were invited to present the scholarships to the student recipients during the ceremony. After dinner, the scholarship recipients showcased their talents through performances including singing, dancing, and magic. Several alumni also took the stage to interact with the students and share their insights on personal growth, career planning, and work experiences, which greatly benefited the participating students.
