On 22 April 2023, a group of 14 students and academic staff from the University of Macau’s Shiu Pong College (SPC) visited the headquarters of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. in Shenzhen, and its research park in Dongguan. During their visit to the Shenzhen headquarters, SPC members learned about the various technology and services Huawei provided to companies around the world. At the Dongguan research park, the students were captivated by the park’s design and the corporate culture that emphasised humanistic care. One of the students, when sharing his impression of the trip, said, ‘I was impressed by the influence and scale of Huawei as a large enterprise. I suggest organising more similar activities in the future!’

In addition, on 1 April 2023, SPC also organised its students to visit the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. The visit allowed SPC members to understand the urban planning of Hengqin and experience its development potential.

The activities aimed to expand students’ horizons and lay a strong foundation for their future career.
