On 15 June 2023, a delegation led by Prof Ye Lixin, master of Harmonia College at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, visited the University of Macau (UM). The delegation also visited Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College (MLC) and Stanley Ho East Asia College (SHEAC) at UM to gain a deeper understanding of the university’s ‘4-in-1’ whole-person education model and its residential college system.

During their visit, the delegation attended a meeting at MLC, where representatives from MLC, SHEAC, and Harmonia College exchanged views and experiences on residential college education.  MLC College Master  Prof Yang Liu introduced to the delegation UM’s residential college system, and its characteristics and development. SHEAC Associate Master Prof Sancia Wan and Prof Ye from Harmonia College also gave an overview of their respective colleges.

After the forum, members of the three colleges engaged in friendly badminton and table tennis matches at the UM Sports Complex.

The visit allowed the delegation to gain a deeper understanding of UM’s ‘4-in-1’ whole-person education model. Furthermore, it laid a solid foundation for future exchanges and cooperation in residential college education between Shenzhen and Macao.
