‘Mental Massage’ is a mentorship programme launched by the Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College (MLC) which incorporates the ‘knowledge integration’ learning platform and the ‘four-in-one’ whole-person education concept of the University of Macau. In the programme, the MLC invites professors (MLC’s college fellows and affiliates) from different academic disciplines to meet with students of all grades, bringing students and teachers together in a relaxing and joyful setting. This year’s Mental Massage commenced with the gathering of students and professors in the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Health Sciences in the college courtyard on 16 November 2022. The professors encouraged the students to face the stress and tension in their studies with courage and wisdom. They also shared their experiences of adapting to life in Macao and discussed topics such as Macao’s food culture, legal history, and intercultural values from an interdisciplinary perspective.
