In order to encourage and promote the development of college education at the University of Macau, Prof. David Pong, Founding Master of Choi Kai Yau College (CKYC), made a generous donation for the establishment of two awards, namely “The David and Barbara Pong Founding Master’s Scholarship for Exceptional Contributions to the College”, and “The David and Barbara Pong Founding Master’s Award for the Best Reflection Report”, to recognize the students who made outstanding contributions to the College and made noticeable improvement in the quality of College life. These two annual awards have been granted since 2021.

Three fourth-year students, Gan Lihong, Chen Guoqi, and Yang Hefeng, received “The David and Barbara Pong Founding Master’s Scholarship for Exceptional Contributions to the College”, for their continual support and generosity in helping the students and their devotion to the College. Students Chan Chi Weng, Kuang Siyuan, Zhou Minhe and Wen Yahui, overcame a lot of challenges in the entire process for creating the CKYC Music Video, and student Liu Kexin demonstrated her creativity and efforts in her design of a series of items for the College. They were presented the “The David and Barbara Pong Founding Master’s Award for the Best Reflection Report”.
