“Without a Home in the World: A Day as Refugees”

Eighteen SHEAC students took part in the first simulation workshop “Without a Home in the World: A Day as Refugees”, which was organized jointly by Oxfam and Bosco Youth Service Network in St. Joseph Seminary and Church in March 2018. The workshop gave students the opportunity to become a refugee for a day and reflect on how we live in a peaceful place but some people out there are suffering from wars. Participating students understood how the refugees suffered and how it felt to have lost the freedom and be manipulated like a robot by the militants every day. This event made them cherish what they have now, live in the moment and wish for a peaceful world without war.
