On 22 November 2024, Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College (MLC) of the University of Macau (UM) hosted a high table dinner alongside the exhibition ‘Inheritance and Innovation: Exhibition of Mr. Ma Man Kei’s Patriotism’. Ma Iao Iao, on behalf of the Ma family, recounted the patriotic deeds of Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam and encouraged the students and faculty of the college to carry on their spirit of love and compassion.

During the dinner, Chu Daping, professor at the University of Cambridge, delivered a keynote speech on the historic mission of the University of Cambridge and the role of engineering-driven business innovation. He highlighted the core value of technological innovation in business development and addressing global challenges. The event also featured several cultural performances: renowned soprano Lu Miao sang the song ‘I Love You, China’; MLC student Ma Chi In presented a yangqin performance of ‘The Blossoming Red Flowers of the Mountains’; MLC’s dance group Shuffle entertained the audience with a K-pop dance performance; and MLC’s music ensemble performed ‘The Same Song’, bringing the event to a climax. During the toast, students and faculty interacted with each other and celebrated the success of the event.
