On 7 and 8 November 2024, a delegation of 16 students and faculty from Choi Kai Yau College (CKYC) of the University of Macau (UM) visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) for exchange. The CKYC delegation was warmly received by Nick Rawlins, master of Morningside College, and students of the college. Students and faculty from the two colleges dined together and shared their learning and life experiences, fostering in-depth cross-cultural communication.

During the two-day visit, the delegation participated in a campus eco-tour to learn about the ecological diversity of the CUHK campus, and visited the Museum of Climate Change to learn about the impact of climate change. They also attended a thought-provoking general education course titled ‘Dilemmas in Artificial Intelligence’, which sparked their interest in the application of AI technology, and made them reflect on how to strike a balance between the adoption of new technology and the replacement of past practices. The visit not only allowed the CKYC members to gain insights into the operations of CUHK and its residential colleges, but also broadened their perspectives on global issues.
